Newborn Baby Studio Portraits | Westchester, NY

This sweet, sleepy newborn baby boy came in and absolutely rocked his session. It didn’t matter what we asked of him, little J. basically said “cool”. He gave us the best newborn smiles – was it gas? Maybe! But that gas gave his parents a beautiful memory of his tiny newborn-ness. Speaking of his parents, the photos I took of them holding him are some of my favorite parent images ever. While not every parent wants to get portraits taken when they aren’t sleeping at night and feel exhausted, I try to gently encourage it. In all of my experience, parents rarely look as exhausted as they feel – they shine with the glow of new parenthood (or maybe a little baby spit up?).

Little J. is now a rollicking, energetic 1 year old, who came for his cake smash recently! That post will come soon, as I catch up after a busy season of family holiday portraits!
