Cake Smash & Family Portraits | Westchester, NY

A pre-pandemic cake smash for you today. This family came to me with great timing – back in November of 2019 (yes, I’m pretty behind with blogging!) for their son’s cake smash. It aligned well with holiday card season, so we snuck in holiday portraits, family portraits, toddler portraits and a cake smash in one session!

We worked fast but little D. was a dream. I may be biased since he shares a name with my son, but he was in a fantastic mood for the entire time. He had a little funny way of looking at the camera – with his little tongue slightly out. His mom mentioned that, with all one year olds, he had developed this as a thing to do right in time for his photo session! All these kiddos do something funny for a while, then stop, just in time for whatever important thing they needed NOT to do it to be over.

This was the sweetest little family, and Villanova fans so dad asked to incorporate that in a few photos. It involved an adorable branded bib so I didn’t mind at all.
