Sara responded to a model call I put out, as I built my portfolio of maternity images. She was a little too early along to meet my model criteria, but she was so darling that I couldn’t say not. So, we waited a few months to my recommended maternity time frame of 28-33 weeks. Since I wanted to practice a bit with partner and family maternity photos, we started there. Then we moved on to some fabric tossing of a dress and fabrics that I provide to my maternity clients. My favorite is when partners come, because they are always so good at tossing the fabric and really get into it. Many of the dads to be get competitive too and ask me to re-shoot a toss they’ve done!
My mama also brought her son with her and boy is he a cutie, no? He has a great disposition, and didn’t really lose his patience. Little man didn’t even touch anything he wasn’t supposed to, and that’s hard for toddlers!
All in all I was so happy with how this session went, and am grateful for mamas willing to put their trust in me to shoot them.
