So I have to admit that technically this session is a holiday portrait session. I also need to point out that we started indoors but moved outside after about 20 minutes. It became clear that Mr. H.’s two year old personality cannot be contained by a studio. He wanted to run! He was an energetic, curious guy that needed to explore his world. This is a long winded way to explain that I am blogging about this session since it was so fun.
The timing was perfect – it was about to turn to the golden hour, the hour before sunset. This is a time well documented as my favorite time of day. I mean, it’s every photographer’s favorite time of day due to golden soft light. H. got to run around, and give his parents a bit more exercise than they thought they’d get with a family portrait session. It all made H. super happy, which makes for good photos, and of course we were also able to sneak in some more formal portraits as well. I love seeing families act as they would at home, but then get these moments in photos since they are the most authentic.
I hope to see this family again one day for more gorgeous photos. Interested in a family portrait session?Contact me today to discuss whether you’d like to be in studio, on location or at your home.
