This maternity session was an honor to shoot. My husband’s best friend from way back and his wife are expecting their first in April and I was thrilled when they asked me to document the pregnancy. The mama was up for most things I suggested, and I’m so happy with the way things turned out. The “wear my pre-pregnancy jeans” shoot, which is inspired by Lola Melani, is my new favorite maternity outfit. It’s sultry, it’s cool, and it’s simple.
It’s always great when partners come in with the expecting mother for portraits as the partner (especially future dads) get really into the fabric toss and are happy to perfect it as long as mom is comfortable. I can’t wait to meet their little squish!
