I was looking to build out my portfolio of maternity photography and put out a model call for mamas willing to come into the studio for a variety of types of maternity portraiture. I’ve really been into a photographer who shoots in the Annie Liebovitz style, named Lola Melani, and she’s inspired me to build my skills with this type of photography. The beautiful J. responded to my call and I’m so honored and thrilled she did.
For maternity sessions I offer two gowns for the mamas to wear, and most choose the grey halter style. I was excited to have someone with the perfect coloring to put in the second white lace gown. She also brought her partner and daughter to the session and her partner turned out to be a very talented fabric tosser.
We had fun talking about babies and whether her daughter is ready for a new sibling. I have no doubt little M. will be a great big sister, she was so well behaved and calm!
