Westchester, NY | Newborn In Home Session

Oh my goodness this shoot. I love every single photo from this family’s newborn photo session, which I shot in their home. I’m still in awe of them, so lovely and sweet but still very chill new parents (maybe they were too tired to be too tightly wound). They were so easygoing and let me move furniture and pull stuff off the side tables, not to mention having the most chic and unique theme for their baby stuff – tropical! Baby M was the sweetest, and accommodated all of us adults by alternating between asleep and a some neat awake moments, but none of the typical fussiness. She was cool with being swaddled, fine with being unswaddled, and patiently let us pull her pacifier out whenever we needed to.  I mean, I probably have 20 shots of her sweet little smile – how often does that happen? Almost never! Anyways, I’m so grateful to her parents for allowing me to barge into their home and upend the delicate balance they were establishing to capture these tiring, sweet, fleeting early days. I’ve also fallen in love with this style of shooting, the lifestyle, in-home newborn session.  Naturally I love every single newborn shoot, I just don’t get to do these very often and they are so fun!
