Our family today has been with me ever since little C was a newborn! Now that he is 2 I am honored that they came again for some fall family portraits. I am always a little wistful when I deliver a client’s artwork to them after their newborn portrait session. Of course I hope I see them again, but after getting to know these families so well during the portrait process I am always a little sad that we don’t have another excuse to see each other in the immediate future.
Luckily this mama has brought little C. to me for multiple portrait occasions! He is an absolutely delightful tiny dude, and naturally happy to have his dad toss him around too. His parents were delightfully adventurous and when I was styling them for their session wardrobe, totally up for any of my suggestions. Who doesn’t love throwing around a beautiful Reclamation dress? As with many of my toddler clients, C. loved hiding in the folds of his mom’s skirt.
We went to a favorite park of mine for fall colors: Tibbet’s Brook Park in Yonkers. The foliage is reliably amazing and it has so much space for a boy like C. to run around in. The sunset gave off a warm glow, peeking through the different types of plant life you can find here. Fall in Westchester is a lovely thing – it really doesn’t get terribly cold until mid-November, and you have any kind of outdoor terrain you can ask for. There’s the ocean, the forest, the Hudson River or big parks like Tibbets to choose from. I’m a lucky photographer to have such beautiful clients to take to these amazing locations.
Contact me today to book a family session! I’ll customize your session clothing and talk to you about the different locations I have in my back pocket to shoot at. Or if you want to avoid weather altogether, we can have a beautiful, simple session in the studio.
