Today’s outdoor maternity session features just the loveliest people, inside and out. They were comfortable in front of the camera and we all got on easily. This is E.’s first baby, so she was quite energeti, unlike some of us, who in the corresponding stage of pregnancy perhaps weren’t quite as mobile or nimble. By some of us, I mean me. Luckily she was game for whatever I asked of her, including lying down (on a blanket, don’t worry) between a rose bush and a hedge!
We shot these images of course at the golden hour before sunset. Westchester did not disappoint with that sunset, let me tell you. Writing this in the deep depths of winter, I can hardly imagine that warm sunset now, but it’s memory will keep me warm and hopeful for a summer full of even happier memories. I will also reflect on the glow of this mama and hope that she brings her baby to the park, telling them of the joy they felt as they waited for their firstborn’s arrival.
