This is the second, 6 month portrait session in my client’s First Year package. Remember this sweet girl? She had the best curls as a newborn and as a 6 month old nothing has changed! She came in for her 6 month session a serious gal who made you work for a smile. Boy, when she did smile, it was like sunlight. We missed the sweet spot for this age: the rare month (or less) when the baby is sitting up unassisted but not yet crawling. Enjoy that time my dear parents! It’s a workout for the parents when we’re shooting an early crawler. That’s all the baby wants to do, and J. was no different. She gave her mama and me a good workout!
For J.’s 6 month session, mom brought in an outfit that she wore as a baby, and that big sister also wore for her 6 month photo shoot. I love generational and sibling photos that show progression and continuity across decades or years.
