A beautiful way to memorialize a cherished family object is to photograph it. Of course we also want to capture how little your children are as babies, since they are only this little for so long. Putting the two together and you have a lasting memory that (if you print it), you can display on your wall and the walls of your children. That way you have the heirloom itself and the photo becomes a beloved object as well
Baby D. came to me as part of a portrait session that did a few different things. We captured her in her christening gown, photographed a portrait of her with her big brother, and snagged a few family photos with her parents as well.
Since she was about 4 1/2 months old at the session day, she made us work – she was rolling, giggling and snacking on her toes. All of this is fine with me! 4 months is a fun age, since they’re easy with the smiles and pretty easygoing in terms of handling.
