I was going through my holiday portfolio the other day when I remembered this little guy’s cake smash session! Since we ended the session with a few Christmas-themed photos, the fact that we mainly shot cake smash images somehow slipped my brain! This little dude’s session was actually awesome, and his mom brought the buffalo check/burlap banner and I loved it so much.
Look at little C.! He has the most amazing chubby cheeks – isn’t he so stinking cute? True to form with most of my newly-toddler crew, C. truly wanted nothing to do with his cake. He poked at it and watched us goofily demonstrate how to eat cake. Yet, however much we tried to explain (show) how awesome cake is, C. just looked at us like we were nuts. We probably looked crazy, animatedly miming cake eating, putting it in his face, waving it around. His parents tried hard to get him into it but the kid was happier just to look around. This is often how it goes – for every cake destroyer you have another who’s more like “pass the purees, please.”
We wrapped up the session with a few family photos that I loved. Then I sent C. on his way with a nearly pristine cake and two parents I’m sure happy to help him finish it.
