I don’t want to be dramatic but a shoot like this doesn’t come around that often. Triplet older siblings with their newborn little brother? That won’t happen for me very often I’d imagine, so I was so excited for this session. Sure, I’ve had newborn twin boys in the studio, but a family of four where 3/4 are triplets is unique! Baby boy C. was four weeks old and fairly chill, as I’d imagine he’d seem anyways when also living in a house with his four year old older siblings. Not to mention, mom was incredibly calm, relaxed and glowing considering she’d only given birth a month prior and had very active pre-schoolers at home. Rounding out this group of amazing clients, dad was up for whatever in the shoot, and never once seemed anything other than happy to be having his picture taken. Some dads definitely aren’t as easygoing about shoots (what’s up with that dads? these are FOREVER MEMORIES. I kid…mostly).
Since I have a three year old, I was curious what the age of four would be like and it’s definitely something to look forward to (mine is an epic threenager). Big sisters and brother were helpful, able to sit still for a little bit – they’re still little – and often smiled on command. I sense there will be a special bond between big brother and little brother, as their mom mentioned that the best one to hold the newborn for a photo or two was big brother and he did not disappoint. I’ll also never forget his sweet face when gazing down at his newest sibling.
This was such a lovely family to get to know, and I’m thrilled to have captured them as a complete unit!
