This sweet family wanted a cake smash and some family set-ups together, without cake all over, so that they can proudly show off their amazing family at his upcoming first birthday party. When J’s mom sent me some photos of things she liked, I realized that the family shots should be outside, since they matched with what she seemed to like most. We really lucked out with the perfect day for that kind of thing, not too hot, not too cold. It helps that I’m also lucky enough to have enough space in the backyard for just this kind of thing! Take a look at the photos of this blue-eyed darling, and his amazing parents. They just intuitively got how to interact for the camera, and kept the focus on little J the whole time. He was also incredibly patient for both his one-year professional photos and his cake smash, let us get some shots of him in his adorable blue outfits before totally smashing up his cake! He’s one of the few cake smashes I’ve had where the kiddo was pretty interested in the cake – sometimes you have to give them a taste or five before they show interest, but he went right for it!
