So I have a secret to tell you – I have a prop master in my house! My friend Mr. Gorgeous is an extremely talented artist, costume designer and prop master. He has been instrumental in helping me put together some amazing upcoming photoshoot setups and themes that I have been working on. When I talked to him about a possible Valentine’s Day photoshoot with my toddler, he was full of ideas and we settled on David as Cupid. He proceeded to make the most beautiful set of wings I’ve ever seen for anyone, adult or baby. Of course, naturally, cause this is the way of things, David refused to wear them. What we could get him to play with (again, of course) were the faux bow and arrows that he also made, and patiently let me pin on a cloth diaper so the result turned out so adorably. I then also loved the idea of photos with babies with red kiss marks on their faces so we did a few shots while he patiently played with some felt hearts I got at Joanne Fabrics. That was the stroke of brilliance there – my active toddler loves to move items around and put things in other things, so he merrily moved the pile of felt hearts around, adorably showing me some now and then.
His little best friend Luke came by for some fun too, and was the total baby model for me. He posed and mugged like a pro.
