You may remember this maternity session from last fall. This couple braved sub-40 degree temperatures to get some of the most gorgeous sunset images I’ve ever taken. I was a total weirdo during the session, shrieking and “ooooh”-ing at the images in my camera. Despite that, these two humans came back and brought their tiny human for newborn pictures.
Little J. was a great baby – and those cheeks! I loved that his dad was really excited about getting pictures of J. with his eyes open. Most newborn photographers prefer an asleep baby, since at this age if the baby’s eyes are open they are likely crying. Little J. was a great baby for his dad though, and we got a few! Otherwise he slept like a champion.
These clients had purchased the belly to baby package, so I got to see baby both inside and earth-side. It’s always sad when we get to the last session of a package, as I no longer have a guarantee to see these sweet people. I hope to see little J. for a future family session, and I will show him where we photographed him while we waiting for him to arrive!
