Today’s session from your friendly Westchester newborn photographer came in the studio via an old(ish) friend of my husband’s. Scotty trained with him for years, and then I came on as a client. Then he was a guest at our wedding! Of course, babies happened to me, and I fell off the personal training wagon! It all happens, of course. We stayed in touch via Facebook and when I posted about looking for a newborn, he came through and referred baby girl L. to me.
This little lady was the crunchiest little one. Sure she was all sleepy and curly, but don’t even think of posing her in anything other than a scrunched up position! Newborns are like that – despite seeming so tiny and fragile, they are also mighty and often opinionated. I love a good challenge.
Also a challenge was the height difference between this little one’s parents. Dad Zeke must have been about 6’4″ (I should have asked) and mom was about 5’6″! Plus, Zeke’s hands looked huge in his daughter’s hands – they were bigger than her face. It really made for a sweet portrait, with her being so small for most, but especially near him.
