This was a photo shoot I did as a package for a new family, including a newborn, 6 month and 12 month cake smash session. Their newborn session was wonderful – head to the post to see how this little lady has grown! I was still only one month postpartum at little M’s 6 month mark, so we had to slightly push the planned halfway point to 7 months. What was great about waiting was little miss mastered sitting up over that time and so we got some really cute photos of her sitting in her crib. I unintentionally focused a bit more on mom and baby together, but in the end I’m happy with it since (at least in my experience), the mom is usually behind the camera.

I love that kind of photo – it drives home how quickly they grow, and also is physical proof that as a parent you are sustaining this little kiddo, and doing a great job.
