This family, before bringing in their baby girl for newborn portraits, began as maternity clients. I need to catch up on blogging to post that too – they rocked it. They are a gorgeous (now) family of four, with a little guy who was so charming and outgoing I wanted to take him home. Of course, they’re usually charming for everyone except their parents so I think I may have gotten lucky for both his mama’s maternity session and his little sister’s session. He was so well behaved and patient. It’s also key that I can send older siblings who’ve had enough outside when they need a break.
Little sister M. was on the “older” side for babies I normally take, when she came to the studio at 23 days old. I normally tell parents that we schedule our session for 7-18 days after the baby’s birth. That said, she was a dream baby! She was sleepy and curly and overall just a patient little peanut. I even got some amazing smiles, as you can see. Isn’t it weird that we all know that it’s gas but we all love those smiles as if they weren’t? They are the best!
M.’s mama even brought in her mother for a few portraits with grandma. I’ve had a couple of clients do this and I think it is so special and amazing to get professional portraits of your newborn with their grandparent. They will treasure this keepsake forever, don’t miss your opportunity. Plus, Mother’s Day gift is in the bag now!
